You will support pharmacists in delivering medication to patients by assembling, stocking, and distributing medications with accuracy and care. Minimum Requirements:

• State pharmacy technician license required for VA.
• Prior pharmacy technician experience required. Experience in a compounding pharmacy or with sterile/non-sterile compounding procedures preferred.
• Experience preparing IVs and working under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist required.
• Experience with medication prepackaging, inventory control (posting lot numbers and expiration dates), and assisting with physical inventories preferred.
• Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems for prescription entry and billing required.
• Ability to assist in maintaining equipment calibration, cleanliness, and safe work environment required.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Compounding Pharmacy.
• Shift Name: Days.
• Shift Details: Days 0800-1900.
• Shift Pattern: 5x8 schedule.
• Typical duties include filling prescriptions, preparing IVs, prepackaging medications, assisting with billing data entry, inventory duties, and supporting pharmacist final checks.
