Minimum Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• Active Pharmacist license in Virginia required or ability to obtain prior to start.
• Experience in a compounding pharmacy required, including non-sterile and sterile compounding procedures.
• Experience preparing sterile solutions and following aseptic technique required.
• Experience supervising pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians and clerks.
• Experience with dispensing prescription medications and providing patient medication counseling.
• Experience performing patient services such as blood pressure measurement, cholesterol management, or smoking cessation counseling preferred.
• Ability to identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare practitioners.
• Minimum 6 months of pharmacist experience preferred.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Compounding Pharmacy (onsite).
• Shift name: Days.
• Shift details: Days 0800-1900.
• Rotating schedule may include standard shifts such as 7:00 am–3:30 pm, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, 10:00 am–6:30 pm, 1:00 pm–9:00 pm, and 2:30 pm–11:00 pm.
• Rotating weekends required, example weekend shift 8:00 am–7:00 pm.
• Responsibilities include compounding medications for external and internal use, preparing sterile solutions, dispensing prescriptions, maintaining confidential patient records, supervising staff, and managing inventory.
